Information we process
This policy describes how the operator of EvidSeek ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our website, software, and related services (the "Service").
We may process:
- information you provide or authorize others to provide;
- content and data submitted for analysis ("Submitted Materials") and resulting output ("Results");
- account, usage, transaction, and support information; and
- technical and security information generated through use of the Service.
Information may come from you, your device or browser, service providers, or other sources involved in providing the Service.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Service and its providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, functionality, preferences, security, and caching.
We may use privacy-focused, cookieless measurement services to understand aggregate page visits and selected interactions. Analytics events are limited to predefined, non-content usage categories and are not joined to our account records. We do not include information intended to identify a user or submitted content in analytics events.
We configure analytics for cookieless measurement and do not maintain a separate analytics-consent preference in browser storage. Technical information may still be processed by analytics providers as part of receiving and aggregating requests.
How we use information
We may use information to operate, support, secure, and improve the Service; manage accounts, usage, and transactions; process Submitted Materials and provide Results; communicate with you; prevent misuse; enforce applicable terms; protect legal rights; and comply with legal requirements.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing may be based on performing an agreement with you, our legitimate interests, compliance with legal obligations, or consent, depending on the circumstances.
Chrome extension and Limited Use
The browser extension accesses content from supported webpages only when you request an analysis. It sends only the content needed to provide the requested result.
We do not use extension data to track browsing activity, build browsing profiles, sell personal information, or serve personalized advertising.
Our use of extension data and information received from Google APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
AI processing
To generate the analysis requested by users, Submitted Materials and related instructions may be transmitted to third-party AI inference service providers. These providers may use supporting model infrastructure to process the information as necessary to generate and return the requested analysis.
We use Submitted Materials to provide the requested analysis and related Service functionality.
When information may be disclosed
We may disclose information to service providers, business partners, and professional advisers where reasonably related to operating, supporting, securing, or administering the Service. Those parties may process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
Information may also be disclosed to comply with law or legal process, address misuse or security issues, protect rights or safety, enforce applicable terms, or support a business transaction involving the Service.
Retention
We may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, taking into account operational, security, transaction, dispute-resolution, and legal requirements.
Deletion or expiration may not result in immediate removal from all systems. Information may be retained where reasonably necessary or permitted by applicable law. Information controlled independently through your device or third-party services may be subject to separate controls.
International processing
Information may be processed in countries other than where you live, subject to applicable legal requirements.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, or complaints to a data-protection authority.
We may verify your identity before acting on a request. Requests may be limited or denied where an exception applies, information must be retained, disclosure would affect others, or the information cannot reasonably be identified or controlled. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier processing and may affect certain features.
You may be able to manage locally stored information through your browser, software, or device settings.
Analytics information may not reasonably identify a particular account and may therefore be unavailable for account-specific access or deletion requests.
Security
We use measures intended to protect information, but no system is completely secure.
Children
The Service is not intended for, and may not be used by, anyone under 16 years of age. If you believe a person under 16 has provided personal information through the Service, contact us so we can review the circumstances and respond as required by applicable law.

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated date above identifies the latest version.
